Whyte extends range for 2011

Whyte have added some entry-level hardtails to the range in the form of the 805 and 809. Offering a 6061 hydroformed and multi-butted frame and designed around a 100mm fork. With a slack 68.5 degree head angle the X8 range offers a comfortable and relaxed trail experience and is aimed at both beginners and the experienced rider. The £899 805 offers a 27lb all-in weight, a Recon Silver coil fork, a 9-speed SLX/Alivio mix drivetrain and Hayes Stroker comp hydro brakes. The £1199, 809 offers a 26lb all in weight, a Recon Gold Solo Air fork, X.7 10-speed drivetrain and Avid Elixir 3 hydro brakes and is aimed at the one bike, do anything rider. The seat stays perfectly illustrate the quality of our framesets. We have finely honed their shape and internal profile resulting in outstanding performance and ride feel along with relaxed and responsive geometry. Whyte Our trail-honed geometry is both fast and reassuring, encouraging both the new and experienced rider to push their limits on the descents as well as the climbs. Complete with many UK design features, such as extra mud clearance for all weather usability, forward facing seat slot to keep rear wheel spray out of the frame, continuous outers for improved cable life and crud-catcher mounts on the downtube. www.whytebikes.com
