LOCALS: Steve Guppy - Transition Bottlerocket

In our weekly feature, we are getting out and about on the trails to meet everyday locals and find out a bit more about them and their bikes.

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Name: Steve Guppy
Location: Devon
Job: Alcohol Sales Operative
Bike: Transition Bottlerocket

How long have you been riding?
I've ridden mountain bikes for about 2 years and trials bikes for far too long!

How often do you ride?
I ride whenever I'm not working at the pub. More specifically something like twice every 2 weeks.

What bike are you currently riding and talk us through your set up?
Here I have my Tranisiton Bottlerocket which nearly everything on it is as standard apart from the handlebars, which I have changed to a nice chrome pair and bigger disk rotors.

What types of riding do you normally do?
Any type of riding that's fun, but generally more the sort of slow speed technical stuff.

What was the last new bit of gear on your bike?
The last new bit of gear was a pair of grips that I have on here now. It's been a while though.

What are your local trails?
My local trails are Decoy BMX track and some local downhill spots.

What's your favourite part on your bike?
Favourite part on the bike has gotta to be the frame.

What's the next upgrade you have planned for the bike?
My next upgrade will probably be a new set of forks. I don't really know what they will be yet though.

What other bikes do you own?
I also have Dartmoor Hornet.
