FIRST LOOK: Nukeproof Mega 275 and 290!

We're excited to bring you details of the much-anticipated Nukeproof Mega 2016, a go-anywhere all-mountain machine that's lighter and stronger than ever before, and now available with 29" wheels as well as 27.5".

Nukeproof Mega 2016

It's ready to pre-order from Chain Reaction Cycles later this week, with an expected delivery date of March 2016.

So, what's new? A revised pedal platform, thanks to an all new rear suspension linkage, promises a more efficient climbing ability, and even more fun on the downhill. The new Horst linkage suspension enables you to enjoy a more active suspension, especially under braking and Nukeproof have also refined the pivot points on the linkage to allow for a more linear suspension curve.

Built using hydroformed 6061 aluminium, the frame is lighter and stronger than previous models and offers extra compliance thanks to the natural damping in the top tube. Also, new for 2016 is the addition of the 29" wheel size. The 29" platform offers riders 150mm travel front and rear, with the 27.5" still offering 160mm from each end.

The Nukeproof Mega will be available with offerings of various specifications and price points, from the all-new entry level Race model to the no compromising specification of the Team model. It'll also be available as a frame-only option.
