Entries are OPEN for the 2017 HSBC UK National 4X Series
Riders ready, watch the gate … entries are OPEN for the 2017 HSBC UK National 4X Series, presented by Schwalbe!
2017 will be a huge year for 4X racing with 8 races held across the UK. There will be a 7 round National 4X Series and the one-off National Champs - all promising short, fast, exciting bar-to-bar racing.
Entries are now open on British Cycling's website HERE.
4X offers all of the head-to-head excitement of BMX with the technical, tyres-on-dirt challenge of downhill. It's all held on a short, fun, challenging course and doesn't require expensive uplifts or perfectly tuned, expensive equipment. It's all about having fun, beating your mates and having a blast. Aiming for its biggest year to date, the series will focus on running slick events, top quality tracks and great venues.
The 2017 British 4X Dates and Venues are:
- Rd1 12th March Chicksands, Bedfordshire
- Rd 2 16th April Harthill, Cheshire
- Rd3 7th May Afan, South Wales
- Rd4 18th June Redhill, Gloucestershire
- National Champs 29th July Moelfre, North Wales
- Rd5 30th July Moelfre, North Wales
- Rd6 20th August Falmouth, Cornwall
- Rd7 3rd September Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
Racers looking to team up with a few mates can enter the British 4X Series Team Cup. Teams need a minimum of three riders and the overall winning team will bag £1000, provided by Schwable tires.
As a bonus, July will see a special double-header weekend of 4X with National Champs and Rd5 running side by side with the British Downhill Series. Racers will be able to battle for the glory of the National Champs title, earn series points at Rd5 of the series and race downhill all in the same weekend.
The 2017 HSBC UK National 4X Series is presented once again by Schwalbe Tires - manufacturers of high quality, great value tires and accessories.
