Latest Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trail Developments

Who is excited for this??? Pumptrack specialists Velosolutions have recently completed their latest masterpiece part of the latest trail developments at Cathkin Braes Country Park.

The council approved £616,766 funding towards the extension of the existing mountain bike trails and the creation of skills development areas at Cathkin Braes Country Park.

Recent developments include the blue graded ascent from the pump track area, weaving through the trees and then linking to the existing trail and the new red, blue and jump lines that take you back down to the pump track area.

The muddy line in the photo above is the bottom section of the new jump line, the blue descent is taking shape as is the red. The skills area is also being shaped within the the new start finish loop.

 There will be:

• New floodlit car parking and road access
• One of the biggest Velosolutions UK Pump Tracks
• Skills coaching area including practice jumps
• Race start area
• Blue grade access climb to new and existing trails
• Blue graded flow trail descent
• Red graded trail descent
• Jump trail

The full project will be finished in Spring 2018. Please do NOT ride the pump track or trails until it is officially open!
