North Wales Antifreeze 2021 CANCELLED
Dyfi Events have sadly taken the decision to cancel the 2021 Coed y Brenin Antifreeze event.
Press Release
Sadly, we have taken the decision to cancel the 2021 Coed y Brenin Antifreeze event. Of all our events, this one with its staggered start seemed most fit to comply with Coronavirus safety measures. However, all our events take considerable forward planning and it is necessary for us to commit to their delivery a long time in advance of the event date with so much that takes place well in advance including access permissions, equipment and infrastructure to be booked, staff secured and entries and administration work to complete.
Unfortunately with so much uncertainty around what restrictions will be in place at the time of the event it is impossible for us to move forward with any degree of certainty that we would be able to deliver on a pledge to provide the event we would plan and promote. For this reason, rather than move ahead and risk cancellation we have chosen to put the event on hold in the hope of a glorious return in 2022.
We know that many of you will be disappointed, we see many familiar faces at the Antifreeze, and know that some of you have ridden the event every year since it began. So to everyone who has ridden the event in the past we would like to say a huge thank you for your support and we really hope we’ll be seeing you again before too long.
Watch this space...
Our thinking caps are on and we are keeping a watchful eye on Covid restrictions as we'd love to be able to fill the Antifreeze shaped hole in our riding year with something. We can't say more right now as it all depends on what develops over winter and what restrictions are in place on our lives as we head into spring. Rest assure we won't be idle, we'll be doing our best to dream something up as a placeholder to fill that void until the event returns in 2022.
