Bikepark Saalbach Hinterglemm Opens for the 2021 Season

There is always plenty to do in-between seasons and the spring of 2021 has been no different. This year Bikepark Saalbach Hinterglemm has opened its gates with a brand-new Learn to Ride Park at the foot of Saalbach’s Kohlmaisbahn as well as reshapes and redesigns of some of the epic trails of the region.

Here are some of the highlights:

Learn to Ride Park

Thanks to the brand new Learn to Ride Park at the foot of the Bikepark Saalbach Hinterglemm, it’s now even easier to get into what is arguably the best summer sport. Located on the Turmwiese right next to the Kohlmaisbahn, the new Learn to Ride Park features miniature versions of the most popular trails of Saalbach Hinterglemm. Thanks to the magic carpet, riders can easily reach the entrances of the Little Monti, the Little Pro-Line, the Little Panorama and even the small version of the legendary (Little) Hackleberg. With lengths between 180 and 340 meters, beginners can enjoy a start into the sport on gentle terrain without having to ride down a 2,000-meter peak straight off the bat. The best part? The use of the magic carpet and Learn to Ride Park is free of charge for everyone. What are you waiting for?

Monti-Trail

The perfect trail to hit after getting comfortable with your bike at the Learn to Ride Park. The Monti-Trail is a beginner and family-friendly trail that guarantees fun for all abilities. Easy to get comfortable with, for those new to the sport and plenty of playful features for those who have already mastered their bike skills. The lower section of the Monti-Trail has been rebuilt for 2021 and now includes a modified route with even more sweeping, beginner-friendly turns and berms.

Panorama Trail

Another flowline? Why, yes please! Opened in 2019, this scenic trail is almost like a downhill pump track. Featuring plenty of big, sweeping berms, tables, step-ups and step-downs, this trail promises pure fun and flow and has quickly become a favourite amongst riders.

X-Line

The X-Line is the “boss” of the bikepark trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm. This very steep and rough, 6 kilometres-long trail is littered with roots, rocks, jumps and gaps that are sure to challenge advanced and expert riders.

Pro-Line

The Pro-Line is the great-grandfather of all mountain bike trails in Saalbach Hinterglemm. The first-ever bike-specific trail in the region might have seen many a rider throughout its years but thanks to regular facelifts, new routes and lines, plenty of jumps and optional Northshore features, this classic trail is far from getting old.

Hackleberg-Trail

Legen – wait for it! Thanks to its natural character and unique panorama, the Hacklberg-Trail is the must-ride trail in Saalbach Hinterglemm. Connecting with the new Buchegg-Trail, this run drops a whopping 1000 vertical meters from the peaks into the valley.

Bergstadl Trail

In the mood for a technical and difficult challenge? The Bergstadl-Trail has you covered. Tight switchback turns, off-camber roots and all the stones and boulders you can shake a stick at are on the menu for you to enjoy.

Joker Card and Austria’s largest Bike-Region

The Joker Card is included for free with stays at all partner accommodations from May 21 to October 27, 2021.
