Proposals announced for Scotland’s first Urban Bike Park
Wishaw social enterprise Socialtrack has announced proposals to turn the former St Matthew’s Primary site into Scotland’s first Urban Bike Park.
Writing on their social media page, Socialtrack stated:
“We are finally unveiling our plans for the Wishawhill Wood Pumptrack and making use of the land and bringing more of the excitement and opportunity that the Pump Track first brought to Craigneuk and Wishawhill all the way back in 2016 weekend it was first suggested.
We are proposing a Scottish first. An Urban Bike Park! With facilities, parking, community space, and a cafe.
The designs are modern and reflect the expected changes to the area geologically and environmentally.
We want to involve as many people as possible in the project and we would appreciate you sharing this post and filling out the online questionnaire!"
The consultation can be viewed here.
