Old Bob's Trail opens at the Forest of Dean Cycle Centre
New Green-Graded Cycling Trail Introduced at Forest of Dean Cycle Centre
The Forest of Dean Cycle Center has introduced a green-graded trail called Old Bob's Trail. This trail is intended to serve as a stepping stone between the easier family-oriented Colliers Trail and the more difficult blue-graded Verderers trail.
This is the first green-graded trail at the Forest of Dean Cycle Center. It is intended to provide experienced riders who have mastered the family-friendly Colliers Trail with a stepping stone to progress to the more challenging blue-graded Verderers trail.
The trail is fully accessible for riders using adaptive bikes. It is also suitable for beginner riders and families with bike trailers or balance bikes.
The trail name celebrates the industrial heritage of the Forest of Dean. Old Bob’s was a pumping engine for Cannop Colliery, located near the Cycle Center.
The trail starts close to the beginning of the blue-graded Verderers trail.
