Log Ride and Park Wood Trails reopen at Gisburn Forest!
Forestry England is pleased to announce that the trail segments for Log Ride and Park at Gisburn Forest are back open!
Log Ride
This trail took a heavy hit during Storm Arwen in 2021, with significant tree damage forcing us to close it down. After safely removing the trees earlier this year and with the incredible dedication and efforts of our volunteers, the trail is now fully restored and ready to ride once again!
Park Wood
We’ve just completed the installation of a brand new bridge here to replace the old one which was removed for safety measures. Thanks to the hard work from staff and volunteers, the entire section of Park Wood is now open.
Thank you for your patience whilst these trails were closed. And a huge thank you to our volunteers - without your commitment, this wouldn’t have been possible!
If you love these trails and want to make a difference, why not join our volunteer team?
They meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month, and new faces are always welcome! Find out more here
