YES!!! I have the SAME bike and it's timeless. I converted it for street use (NYC) and made some mods. I bought it with a Rockshox Quadra suspension fork, changed to a Surly 1x1 rigid fork. Replaced the cantilever brakes with Tektro Quartz linear pull, threw on street slicks, GT Avalanche stem/ bar, WTB saddle, WTB strap pedals. These US made steel hardtails will last forever with proper maintenance!! Plus, these GT team colors are killer
