My cousin had a mk1, differed in the straight back stays (even easier to wheelie) and the shift had a knob instead of the T-shift (which caused even more damage to your jewels), it was bright orange... It was definitely the most unstable bike available, the front wheel washing out on even a dry road, and the headstock was really weak, my cousin breaking two, as well as himself.... but it was awesome, and i was sooooo bloody jealous of him... Got to be a 10...
My mate had one of these back in the 70's. Dead easy to pull wheelies on, especially going up-hill. Colours were: Ultra violet, Infra red & Fizzy lemon. Glad yours has got the proper stick shift gear lever, unlike the crappy newer models which only have a pathetic stick-on picture of a gear stick where the stick shift should be....oh the memories
That is one of the only things of beauty from the 70's
The rest of the 70's had a 'taste bypass' I know that from looking at photo's of how my mother dressed me!
Great bike mate, look forward to seeing the Mk1...
this bicycle is not constructed to carry passengers........any 1 who had anything to do with one of these knows what im on about.great bike, love the flames
