Summary:
Could be so much better
Review:
Please note, this review and this section is for the Skills track and Pump track, not the main section of Haldon cycle trails.
For a complete beginner, the skills area is quite good. There are some bumps to ride, three step downs of varying height, some balance sections, berms and even some step ups to practice (although you could miss these).
If you are more experienced, then this skills track offers nothing! I would like some bigger drop offs and some jumps to practice.
The pump track, to be fair I've not spent much time in here although i have just built a dirt jump bike as a project. Compared to other pump tracks I've seen online, the track looks a little underwhelming - the pumps don't seem that big and I think the track would be dependant on how much rain there's been.
There is plenty of land around Haldon Forest, please can we have some more skills areas!!

Summary:
Updated since the above comments i think..
Review:
The basics are family targeted, Pump track is for kids to loop on, skills area is so small its pretty naff, blue/green trails are good for the warm up and exercise.
The updated Red and Black trails are pretty good, do these twice and its an ok day out on the bike. Both are fast and have strong technical bits but nothing like a welsh trail... but for the area i dont know much better for single track stuff.. i would match it to something like Peas Lake in Surrey. If you want it a bit bigger then go welsh or Cannock as they are do able for day trips form Exeter

Summary:
okay not the best
Review:
ideal for a warm up, or just a bit of fun, few small jumps, small berms (that you cant hit with speed because there way to tight), hard pack ground so okay in bad weather!
