Good

I have been to the cycle skills area a couple of times now, and I have never seen it empty. If your looking for DH or freeride, their isn't really much, but if your goin for 4x, dirt jumps or just to have fun, then its a really good place to go

Great for building fitness
Review:
I'm over here at least once a month, the picture above should probably be edited as there is no longer northshore in the forest.
The waymarked routes are more aimed at family cyclists and so not worth riding for anything other than building your fitness... If you visit here regularly you can start to string together better routes with singletrack sections and taking in the cycle skills area.
Some riders insistence on littering the cycle skills area is most disappointing and will lead to problems with other forest users and possibly loss of the dirt jump areas.
We found the cafe at the train station was cheaper than the one at the visitors centre but both are good.

Great Potential but poor signage!!! d(~_~)b
Review:
Skills area is superb especially the last big 4 or so jumps right at the bottom. Lots of great off road bits too. The main wide pasths however are best avoided as the are boring. Main problem id the crappy signage, there is a god chance you will get lost and miss some great bits! Skills area alone makes it worth a visit though!!!
