Another local gem

When not riding up cleeve i will head up leckhampton for a really good XC blast. Head up the hill from Charlton kings alongside the golf course. At the top of one of the most lung busting climbs ever head left(there is a sign by FOLK, head left away from it downhill) continue along the track, making sure to use the singletracks on either side, up the road and loop the top again. Make sure if you come down the DH or the trails alongside that you head down the 'footpath' just a bit higher than the entrance to daisy bank. This is good fun and great in the wet with the roots and loose surface!
There are so many more rides up lecky than just the DH track. Just explore!

the map on the information bord at carprks was usefull the jumpes section is falling apart and the dh trails are not really that thrilling. cannock chase has it all. never going back to leckhamton hills again. Not really an xc hot spot.

Every time I go something has changed for the better, loads of different little bits to do which all link up nicely. Trails could be a bit better maintained though
