The frame is an '01 D-Tox with 8" 2007 Marzocchi Super-T RCV's on the front and a 5" DNM MM22 shock on the back, - all nicely sat on DMR revolver hubs (20mm front axle), Atomlab Pimp rims, and the obligatory Michelin 2.3 DH tyres and tubes.
...praps not the best photo but this is all i have to hand...

the long stem and triple crank set are a bit of a give away, you cant just stick some big forks on a halfords special and think you have a downhill bike

Really ugly bike dude (sorry if you love it) but some good parts.
I wouldn't bother upgrading this tho, technology and frame geometry has advanced a bit since saracen started making these and you can do so much better!
Just buy a frame and transfer the parts that are better!

I think this looks well cool, brings back memories of when I used to race over 10 years ago. Proves its built
really well if it has lasted this long! I would never get rid of it!

the same a sills said there is no point of having really good parts on a rubbish frame really good pats just get a new frame and put on the parts from that bike

love the fact that the forks are worth more than the rest of the bike.... but that seriously is not going to ride well, the head angle is slack (thanks to the length of the forks) and teh bb is way high. seriously get a new frame, one that was designed for DH not a d-tox which is esentially a 5" travel road bike or at best fireroads. 6/10 for (some of) the parts.
mogsie replied... on 6 October 2009
would have to agree with skinheadjc !! its geometry set up is all wrong ! head angle too slack ! you would have to nosedive everything to get any benifit out of the forks ! rear shock..... no comment

skinheadjc replied... on 22 April 2008
dont get a new shock buy a new frame (it would cost the same as a decient shock any way......
Stevasaurus replied... on 21 April 2008
true... the shock is on the list for later in the year! In my defence the frame has survived everything i've thrown at it over 7 years and is still as absolutely sound as the day i got it (belive me I'd of swapped it out by now if it wasn't worth hanging on to!)

10 for originality, thats a lot of love for an older frame, dunno if you could upgrade that shock anymore, tho.
