**The Hemlock Trail Association Announcement**
It’s a sad day but unfortunately, the Council has taken the steps to remove the unsanctioned dirt jumps behind the Hemlock Stone. This area was never officially given to us as the Hemlock Trail Association and despite our requests for years to be allowed to embrace the area we were never granted permission to do so.
We are awaiting official comment from the Council but it is our understanding that due to the litter, anti-social behavior, and size/scale of the gap jumps they deemed the area a health and safety hazard and felt their only option was to remove them.
It’s a sad start to the year when we are really starting to get on a role with the three trails at the top with regular maintenance days and the foundation of the club officially but at the end of the day the dirt jumps are not within our designated area so we have to respect the decision of Broxtowe Borough Council as the land owners.
Please let us know your thoughts.
