Mark Scott is on wideopenmag for 2014
16 November 2013 | By AngusMcIntoshYesterday you met our new young gun downhiller, now it's time for our second huge team announcement.
We are super excited to welcome Scottish legend Mark Scott to the Wideopenmag family.
Where do we start with Mark? Mark is an overall SDA champion, a UK national champion, a Dragon Series champion, he's raced World Cup downhill since he was 17 and he's represented the UK at the World DH champs twice. In 2013 Mark made the big leap to Enduro and has taken off big time. He scored a 3rd overall at the UK Gravity Enduro Series and an awesome 27th at the World Enduro Series. We're out in Spain with Mark at the moment and have spent the week watching him destroying gnarly trails on his 160mm Nukeproof Mega AM.
Mark will lead the charge for Wideopenmag at the UK Gravity Enduro Series, Enduro World Series and heaps of other events. He'll also be providing tonnes of awesome content for the mag. He'll race alongside the Wideopenmag DH team, made up of Rich Thomas, Jay Williamson and Joe Parfitt.
Chilling after another awesome day in the Spanish sun Mark told us "I'm stoked to be riding for Wideopenmag next year! I had a great season this year and I just want to get faster and step up everything in 2014. I'm loving my new Nukeproof and I'm running the sickest kit. I can't wait to get stuck in!".
Mark is already fully kitted out in Fox Racing race kit and on board a Nukeproof Mega AM 275. He'll also be supported by Hope Technology, Conti Tyres and an awesome list of other sponsors that we'll announce towards the end of the year.
Hotlines marketing manager Martin Astley said: "As we've expanded the Nukeproof range further into the enduro market it's become ever more important for us to work with athletes at the top of the sport. I've had my eye on Mark throughout this year and I'm really happy to see him on a Nukeproof as part of the Wideopenmag team".
Look out for Mark destroying a hill near you and in loads of Wideopenmag media from now on. Good luck mate!
