Cycle Show Highlights - Specialized
28 September 2012 | By AngusMcIntoshYesterday MoreDirt took a trip to the Cycle Show. Check out some of the highlights and hidden gems we found at the show. First up we have Specialized.
Specialized had 2 custom painted carbon frames on show that had been masterfully crafted by the kings of the custom paint at Troy Lee Designs.
The Carbon Demo 8 features unbelievable levels of detailing on the top tube and on the magnesium link in the swing arm linkage.
They also had a Carbon Stumpjumper that had been given the Troy Lee treatment on show. These frames won't be to everyone's fancy colour-wise, but the levels of detailing blew our minds.
The "Standard" Carbon Demo 8 was on show. I use the term standard loosely. This thing is anything but standard. It comes in at a bargain price of £4000 though... I'll take 2.
The 2013 Carbon Stumpjumper was a fine looking machine but it was the shock linkage that caught our eye with it being mounted inline to shave off those extra grams. We are big fans of the new colour scheme on the Carbon stumpy seen here.
Specialized had the Olympic Gold Medal winning bike belonging to Jaroslav Kulhavy on show with the Hadleigh Farm dust still in situ from the main event back in the summer.
The Specialized booth had a singlespeed version of the Carve on show, there's only going to be 6 of these special editions shipped in to the UK! You can tell a lot of work has gone into the colour schemes throughout the range this year and its really paid off.
And finally from Specialized they had The 2013 Carbon Camber 29er in a new Lime green colourway that comes in at a cool £3500.
