The Continental Der Baron Tyre is a downhill intermediate option that can also provide an assured ride in damp conditions when a full wet isn't quite needed. The arrangement of studs is aimed at grip in loose mud and rock, whilst the casing holds up to serious World Cup level abuse, thanks in part to a special reinforced 'Apex' sidewall. This extra thick, double-layer carcass effectively prevents pinch punctures & "Der Baron" uses a particularly soft (downhill) version of the legendary BlackChili Compound which provides unrivalled grip and rolling speed.
