Dartmoor Bikes Launch 2012 Range

Having made their mark in 2011, Dartmoor Bikes are set to build on their reputation for strong but light-weight, affordable, well designed products. The extensive range of products comes in a myriad of colours and has been expanded for 2012.

P>New products include the much anticipated 160mm Wish Freeride full suspension frame; also available as a complete. The frame will hopefully land in the UK mid February, with the complete coming Mid March. Price for the frame will start from £710 without a shock up to £970 (X-Fusion Vector R, coil) £990 (X-Fusion Vector RCX AV air).

Other frames in the range have be developed with the introduction of tapered head-tubes on the world's best selling Aluminium jump frame, the TWO6 Player, also the all-mountain hard-tail Hornet, and last but by no means least the Phantom 4X frame. All 3 frames have had makeovers, with new hydro-formed down-tubes matching up well with the tapered head-tube, improving strength in this vital area, new rear seat-stay profiled gussets and a new Chain-stay/bb yoke, improving stiffness and power delivery along with excellent tyre clearance. The Two4 player also has some tweaks but retains a 1 1/8th standard head-tube.

The first custom built Two6 Player, this particular bike is Dartmoor UK rider Ryan Nangle's new ride. One other major factor in the frames success's are the prices, the Two4 player comes in at £159, with the Two6 at £169 and the Phantom and Hornet each available for just £179, making the Phantom the most affordable high end 4X frame on the planet.

The World Class Phantom 4X frame, 2.05kg of pure speed and strength. As well as the Aluminium frames Dartmoor have expanded the steel frame range with the introduction of the Freaky street/park frame, designed to take a BMX rear hub on 24" wheels, and non-disc, this is one sleek weapon. The frame will take 26" if preferred. Made of butted 4130 cro- mo, this is one tough frame and designed for 80mm forks or Dartmoor Bronx rigid's of course.

The Killer Freaky Street frame, available in March, for £279. Other frames in the range are the premium models, the Cody 26" and Ghetto 24". Both these models remain the same as 2011 with the introduction of two higher versions, the Cody 2 and the Ghetto 2. These refinements of what are already class leading frames, are about the best money can buy right now.

The Gorgeous Cody 2, this and the Ghetto 2 available around the middle of January and both retail for £410. Both the standard Cody and Ghetto are available now both at 2011 prices so £369. To round off the steel frame range Dartmoor have the new Quinnie, revised for 2012 with new colours, new graphics plus new top tube and seat stays along with new custom dropouts. This great all-rounder can do it all; it can be fitted with 26 or 24" wheels, takes a euro BB, so can be fitted with the new Keipo EX cranks and external BB.

(Also available as a complete) One frame, which now also comes as a complete bike is the Dartmoor Shine, this popular 100mm travel full suspension jump frame has proved to be a big hit since its introduction in 2010. A After a few tweaks for 2011 its remains the same for 2012 bar the introduction of red to the colour options.
