Garwnant mountain bike trails are located just inside the Brecon Beacons National Park, which are particularly suitable for families and young children with its entry level mountain biking trails.
Our mini mountain Bike Skills Park has a series of child-friendly obstacles designed especially to improve skills and build confidence.
Users only need to be able to pedal uphill and to negotiate simple turns and the idea is to push your bike up the ramp and ride around each of the features in turn. All features can be ridden slowly or avoided completely.
The skills park is aimed at young children, and adult supervision is highly recommended. If you find it too easy, maybe you're too old!
The Rowan mountain bike trail is designed to be suitable for "First Timers". Having warmed up on the Bike Park, The Rowan Trail leads riders up a broad single track climb to where the trails split. Descent flows down a series of berms and open turns, humps and bumps. It can be ridden fast or slow. It descends to finish below the Bike Park either exit to the car park, or go again on another run.
The Spruce mountain bike trail is aimed to improve riding skills, but do not underestimate its difficulty. It shares the ascent with the Rowan trail to where the trails split. A short rhythm section, then easy drop off is followed by some steep bermed corners. A fast descent flows through more turns and a fast finish, leading back on to the shared ascent. You have to descend the Rowan Trail to leave the site.
