Cwmcarn Forest in South Wales consists of two fantastic XC mountain bike trails. The Twrch Trail is a superb 15.5km trail of the very highest quality that is not for the faint hearted. Virtually the entire route is on purpose built single-track through a mixture of broadleaf and conifer woodlands and open ridge tops.
The new 14 km Cafall Trail gives you a real sense of adventure. Tough climbs and tight hand-built singletrack sections combined with some fantastic steep and technical descents all delivering fantastic ‘natural’ feel for the more experienced riders only.
For all you downhill adrenaline junkies Cwmcarn offers up two exciting downhill tracks. The man-made Y Mynydd course consists of one man-made downhill Trail (with a choice of lines on the top and middle sections), simply named red run and black run.
The Pedalhounds DH mountain bike track is Cwmcarn’s latest Downhill Track that follows the line of the old club built trail down a steep side valley in the forest. This track offers some steep technical sections combined with a very fast open section near the bottom.
Cwmcarn latest addition is a new pump track located near to the car park and provides a perfect warm up before heading out on the trails or hone you skills.
