Fabulous!

Review:
We went to Drumlanrig on a Sunday in truly crap weather and the place was practically deserted. As others have said, it has a different feel to other trail centres i.e. the nearby 7 Stanes venues. The first half is very techinical and very rooty. And I mean rooty. It then relaxes into a smooth flowing romp through some stunning countryside which the boyfriend and I loved. I trail you could return to again and again and without ever tiring of.

The facilites are ace, plenty of food options, showers, free bike wash, bike hire, children's adventure playpark (ahem). Drumlanrig Catle is also pretty beautiful in its own right, so a good spot to take the family if some want to mtb and others want to walk/sightsee.

The best kept secret in Scottish MTB.

Review:
I have hit nearly all the places to ride in scotland and to say "the drum" is unique is an understandment. This place is amazing. It is THE place to go when the weather is poor in scotland as it offers a good 2 hours of sheltered singletrack. The trails are nothing short of a scene from LOST.. they are natural and challenging. I recommend getting a group of similar riders and ripping right into them in a close nit group. You will not only have the time of your life but you will leave here with your skills improved for sure. Rik is a surgeon of trail design and this is his back garden. What a place. Facilities are great, bike wash, cafe, shop etc... as far as I am concerned this place is still my number favorite place....

Outstanding

Review:
I rode the trails around Drumlanrig nearly 2 years ago now. It was a very wet and windy day which made the trails a little wetter than we would have liked, but the riding here is excellent. It has a great mellow feel to it and not at all like any of the other trail centres in this part of the world. Its a great mixture of climbing, twisty singletrack, flowing bends, drop-offs and tree roots to keep you on your metal. Very techincal in places but loads of fun. A really good trail that will have you grinning no matter what the weather. Drop in and see Rik, he's a great guy and always willing to chat and help you out with things. And the shower block and bike wash are awesome, especially after a wet and muddy morning's riding. In summary, a trail easily overlooked in favour of the bigger more publicised trail centres, but at least it keeps Drumlanrig a quiet, technical playground for those lucky enough to have discovered it.

Stonkin!

Review:
Ace place, We decided to stop off at drumlanrig on the way back home to edinburgh, mid week, mid winter. So no crowds and sodden ground. Despite the latter it turned out to be great, the trails are all natural held together by roots (which there are a lot of!) and the bed rock underneath. The trails all flow really well and you don't realise by the end that you have covered 20k's. The facilities are excellent, showers, bike wash (Free!), shop and Rik's hospitality was ace, he even invited us in for a post ride cup of tea and chat about the trails, and seemed really interested in our opinion of what he had built. Perfect treatment for the Glenstress Syndrome.

Review:
There is something about drumlanrig that makes me return time after time. The riding at drumlanrig has a feel unlike any other, its almost as if the trail is a living thing, it chances everytime I ride it. There is loads of altenative routes, and it will take you a while to cover all the routes, and even after that you will discover numerous non-marked trails.
