Summary:
Great for a casual ride or new riders

The facilities are great, lovely food in the cafe which is open from about 9:30 (on Sunday at least) and a bike hire facility which stocks bike more than capable of the trails on offer. Good parking facilities as well, although perhaps a little pricey (we noticed the locals park up the road a bit ;) ). The trails themselves aren't really all that challenging although the surface that has been laid down can make the tighter berms a little tricky. The scenery is nice but nothing on the Quantocks (but what is?). Great palce to go for a relaxed ride and enjoy the company of people you ride with, locals seemed friendly and the place had a generally nice atmosphere. Some parts of the trails are shared with walkers, so be prepared to slow down in some areas and the centre tends to get busy as the day goes on, so get there early

We have heard good things about Haldon so took a drive up yesterday to ride the ridge trail.
Looked promising but as as flew into the top section a little to quick i found a well placed rock every few feet just where you may have to run wide. i have no doubt this is to keep speed down! I found the whole thing a little dissappointing and not challenging at all.
For a Red run its really for beginners or would possibly make a good training ride.
The facilities are good and the pump track is great for youngsters.

It is a great xc route that flows very nicely and gives you the impression its all downhill by using clever contouring, however it does not have ANY jumps or drops if thats what your looking for.
