Great trail, great descents

With slightly more time in Brenin, I now feel ready to take on the Beast next visit. Not as much technical steps, etc as the shorter trail but some amazing flowing downhill sections with short climbs in between and many possible loops. Could ride it all day.

Technically fun but thats 1 big climb!
Review:
Passing through Coed Y Brenin, got a short amount of time to kill, an MTB on board and want to test your technical skills? We did and enjoyed it this trail very much, made me eager to come back and try the longer trails at this location. Very technical, very big climb to come back down in the middle but very enjoyable for testing the more experienced MTB skills

Headed up here with 3 other lads, all ridden trails before, but usually steer clear of black runs. Decided to follow the dragons back markers. Two minutes into the ride I'm over the handlebars, according to a friend behind, 'performing the scorpion manoeuvre,' which we laugh about now. The smiles soon turned to frowns upon realising I'd dented my new tubeless rim! Went back and bought inner tubes from the very helpful staff, then cracked on again. The track starts off looking like good fun with a good run but then you hit a big fire road. Once up this never ending road you get to ride down another trail, but you need to keep peddling to get speed up to really enjoy it, but then your peddles keep hitting rocks! Then you get to another fire road! I'm bored now so I'll finish off, so basically you spend all day riding up fire roads to do 'flat' downhills, full of rocks. None of the group really enjoyed it and won't be returning, it's been nick named the Dragons Arse and anyone who enjoys it must be riding it on an effing crosser!

Great centre
Review:
I normally ride the trails only once and so i have to ride cautiously thus when I do come across an feature I dont really get to enjoy it and I dont go back to really hit it. All the trails Ive ridden here have a horrible rock garden section and I hate it. I still give it 4 stars in most due to the quality of track, location and some areas you can have fun.

Like riding up a rocky riverbed
Review:
I recently thought I’d give the Dragons Back a go. What a mistake, straight out from the start it’s a rock garden with some evil technical climbs, dodging rocks and slowly picking your route. I especially hated the after Lunch treat (117) of a tarmac road climb where I nearly lost my lunch then more rocky trails only changing to large slabs and small drops. The trail does have some great trail from 125 but in my opinion the trail is a wrist killing, teeth chattering hell and the Coed Y Brennen review needs to say that. The other two red trails do have small rock gardens and a smoother trail surface, the jump between them and the Dragons Back is a large one so be prepared.
