just done red kitchener route
Review:
facilities on site are excellent the cafe is top draw.
unfortuneatley the trails doesnt match the facilities it is alright if you dont like steep uphills but obviously on a track with no steep uphills means no steep downhills its just undulating very flat terrain with nothing to set the heart or your pulse racing.
if i lived nearer i would probably use it as a good training ride but unfortunatley not exciting enough and all a bit repetitive. gonna give place a 7/10 but large percentage of that for cafe, bike shop ,toilets and parking

Good trails
Review:
Yeh, some trails are hard to find, but when you do they are awesome. I went to the off road area today and there are some fairly new DH/FR trails (weren't there when i last went) with loads of drops, jumps, rock gardens- i was really impressed and I was there quite a while.
The singletrack is good but you again have to look around for the good stuff.

got a few 'fun bits on the grade 3 orange level trails(why these are graded 3 , i dunno, when dh in ae forest is only a 2!!) doesnt flow too well, lots of token gesture features.... got a load of mates into freeridey stuff and all of them avoid this place, only really good for xc lite!

Summary:
a "fun" trail for the east mids
Review:
The north shore is pretty solid and flows well. The only downside is that you don't have to commit to any drops, they are all rollable, and quite small. For me, this detracts from the challenge of freeride. But its probably the best they could do within the FSC guidelines. You do get quite a lot of inexperienced leisure cyclists unknowingly going down the trails, as the trail isn't identified at intersections such as after the first drop, which is obviously a danger to us lot bombing it down. A good spot for the East Midlands though, and if you live round here its worth a visit.
