I Went up to the north face track expecting to be amazed by this trail to be honest i was,, but not at first we followed the track great uphill sections! but when we got to the big steep hill sections we turned off and went up a great path will a great view over the lakes.. we then followed the paths and did a massive loop back to the centre. Had a Bacon Butty it was georgeous! One Of Best in country! then we did the north face again Simon my riding partner go really exhausted by all the riding so mostly followed the forest roads which let this trail down because there was too many. But the steep down hill sections i ripped through but didnt enjoy a few as i thought they were very Dangerous with the boardwalks positions and the rocks ect. But the LAST SECTION is the best bit of this ride and a massive benefit of this ride but overall thumbs up i loved it!

I was riding this before N F T was built ,and agree that it is wearing away ,and is too short.treat yourself to a map showing wider area from vis centre
there are some tricky bridleways from eskthwaite up to breasty hawe and ormandy intakes is a blast (downhill) combine with red route for full days ridng.

overall not too bad

after 15 years out of a mountain biking this was to be my first trail. Overall it gave me feeling of being alive again with a big grin from ear to ear, we parked at the top car park and droppped into the two small downhill sections tight in places and some scetchy corners. The uphill section after the centre gives your lungs a work out depending on how fast you ascend, the board sections proved to be more than tricky in the rain but it gave me an excuse to buy a new saddle when i snapped the other. in need of a few kickers though throughout.
