Summary:
Great XC route, with good balance of uphills and downhills

I did just the red grade Twister trail, on my own, during a Holiday in June 07. I thought it was good, but couldn't quite see what all the Kirroughtree fuss was about.
However, I just recently did the whole Twister/Black Craigs circuit with a bunch of friends and the whole route was fantastic. It keeps you grinning all the way round. Nearly every section is well constructed and hasn't deteriorated. It's big bonus, is the fact that you never feel like there have been any killer climbs, yet there are loads of long descents. They make the best use of the gradients.
I'm giving the red Twister route only, an 8, but that is only because it's a bit short on it's own.
However, The Whole red/black Twister/Black Craigs circuit would score a 10 for me. It is definitely worth the extra driving distance.

this is a great wee skills loop to warm up on before you ride, or even just play on to tone your skills..... it has some pretty hard features, so I would describe it as challanging to most riders!! i would like to see some woods features added rather than the vast rock features
