Forget The Route - Ride the Local Bridleways Instead
Review:
Rode this for the 1st time on 11/06/09. The trail length is 19km & of this I would say about 10km is fire road & the remaining part singletrack.
There's nothing really of any major note about it - no jumps, no great downhills, nothing too technical. It's not one I plan to return to again.
Once completed we decided to ride a magazine route which took in some of the bridleways around the centre instead, which were considerably better - greater technical interest, the odd jump & more downhill.

Summary:
Compared to Llandegla and Coed y Brenin it's kind of average
Review:
It was about a year and half ago and this was the first purpose built trail I had rode and was very impressed at the time and had a great day out, but since then I have ridden a few of the other trail centers I realized that it was kind of average. The facilities are ok and the place had some very nice scenery but I didn’t really go just for that hence my rating of a 5/10. Also I seem to remember when we went there were a few individuals looking down their noses at my 5 year old Scott Hardtail, or it might just have been me being paranoid, hope that’s changed!

Good for beginners!
Review:
I used to ride the north face trail a lot when it was first built and i loved it. However i was a beginner then, but i am a lot better now and i find it quite boring now. It doesnt really have anything technical and there isnt really any fast sections apart a section near the end and the last section which is really short and you have to stop half way because there is a gate. If you have experienced much better trails such as glentress i wouldnt bother going, because as soon as i started going on better trails i realised that grizedale is pretty rubbish.
Only good for beginners or if you lie close and just want a quick ride.

Better than expected, but don't expect to be challenged.
Review:
Had previously been told not to bother with this place but had a few hours to kill the other day so had a go. Trail starts with a nice climb through the forest but then opens up to boring fire roads. That said some sections are quite good fun, no jumps or technical stuff but not a bad place to go for a quick blast round or if your a beginner. The wooden sections shown are just a way to get over the marshy bits and not north shore sections. With a bit more thought some raised north shore, drops and jumps this place could be pretty good!
