this is a great ride for improving your riding skills and its quite challenging, riding without the long up hill treks but with some great descents, ive done many laps of this place

Its a really fun trail. However it can get very windy up there and if you are not careful on the rocky bits that are on the edge of a hill the wind could push you off. This nearly happened to me so i decided to miss the high technical rock lines out because i think i would have had a bit fall :D

Review:
i'm from stacksteads so i've been riding up the quarry for 15 years or so.Il used to be alright just going up there and finding your own lines but since they were up there and did all the work on it,it has improved so much it's unreal.
The first half of the red track is existing track from previous which is a steep climb to the top then a steady level track. When you come to the front of the quarry this is when the fun starts and is the new addition to the track which is quite technical then turns into a fast descent.
The black route is a bit more difficult, you would need so armour for this as i've done it a few times and come of a few times and without my knee-shin guards and elbow pads i would have had some nasty cuts :(
So in all a good track i've heard they are going to extend both black and red tracks this year so looking forward to that so if your from east lancs then get yourself down here and give it a go.
