I have been here lots of times and have now managed to ride the whole lot without getting off! This loop has loads of really technical sections which will test anybody and I must congratulate the guys who put this together as some of the boulders must have taken some serious shifting!! I have not seen anything as well put together in this format anywhere yet. As said above it is easy to miss out any bits you are not confident enough for. But you will be superpumped when you get better and can eventually clear it all. This route is much better when not really wet as you get better grip on the rocks. The route is not hugely long, takes about 10 mins but you can keep going round and try different things. Also there are the Norwood and 'Downhill' trails over the road too. Must e tried!!!

Great place for improving your skills and testing your nerve.

Review:

Norwood Edge and Stainburn are two separate woods, cut in two by a main road. All the routes in both woods are short and technical or very technical test pieces. Alot of the obstacles will have to be sessioned. So, If your wanting a lung busting XC day out then don't come here, go to somewhere like Dalby Forrest. Although the trails are short, there are plenty of them, some obvious, some not so. You can easily wile away a day here, having fun and testing your nerves. Pads are recommended. Alot of people turn up with 'big rigs', but all the trails here can be done on a xc hardtail.

On the Stainburn side there are 3 routes graded red and black, all of them have had lots of trail building work done and although short, they are excellent. Lots of features and technical testers. On the main black trail, you could easily spend an hour down there, sessioning stuff and playing around, but everything can be bypassed.
