A challenge
Review:
Fitness is definitely needed to enjoy this one otherwise it does seem a long time on the forest roads. A lot of forest operations have taken place over the last year but now most sections are re-opened, except for about 1/2 of the Grand Canyon. The final descent will shake out the cobwebs, especially if you're riding a 100mm front fork! This is a good challenge but I wouldn't do it if you're not cycling regularly as fitness is definitely needed. I really want to see Grand Canyon open again soon as the boulder field was great fun.....that's the only reason I don't give this trail full marks.

Rubbish!
Review:
We set off at 5am from the midlands to take on the mighty skyline...having read the reviews, we were so looking forward to it....
On arrival, facilties were good, we got changed and head off to what we thought was going be an Epic ride...BOY were we wrong!
I have never climbed so much to be rewarded with such little desent...:(...fire road after fire after fire road....TOILET
Coming from riding the Dragons Back and Beast at coed y brenin (on a regular basis), there really is no contest.....
2/3 of the way in, we were so bored...only the plus for me was the last 6km decent and the rating of 2 is for that only.
Advice, take a trip to Coed y brenin and see how trails should be :)
Apologies for such a negative review, but it really was disappointing.

Good trail ut prepare to be knackered
Review:
Rode this for the first time today, really good trail, as one of the other reviews says there are a lot of fire roads but not too much in my opinion, give you a chance to recover between the single track which can be pretty full on, the final single track back to the car park is long and fast, I smashed round this in 3 1/2 hours but was pretty ball bagged after it!

I lovely ride, even the 6km first clikb is brilliant fun, a few too many fire roads, but the singletrack compensated greatly..the final descent is a RIPPER!! brilliant fum, slightly bruised knuckles though from over inflated tyres.. a bit painfull on the last descending sections..

amazing

Got round in 3 1/2 hours first time but took longer second time (not the same day) to enjoy the views. Was totally knackered both times but well worth it. Final decent amazing but had to take a break to give fingers a rest. I would recommend to everyone with a decent level of fitness but take some food and alot of water
