Great riding
Review:
There are loads of different trails here. Some fast and open, some tight and steep. River Run which starts pretty much at the very top is a solid 5 or 6 minutes fast descent, awesome.
You'd have to be keen to ride everything there in a day. If you are iron man-fit then Bishops is just across the road and Grogley's only a mile away. Both are great.
There are no signs or marked trails so you will have to do look about for stuff and experiment. There is another website that has a map of most of them.
There aren't any facilities but I put 4 stars because I don't see why woodland should be marked down for not having a tea shop. This is mountain biking not a Sunday jolly to the garden centre...

Only spent a couple of hours here but I was lucky enough to meet a kind local who took me along to ride the best trails. Good gnarly trails, a lot of fun! Thanks Rich!

Hustyns woods is basically a 1-2 mile long fire trail with lots of off-track runs.
I only took up mountain biking about a year ago and have been riding these woods every week since. I go out sunday mornings with my dogs and recently my mates have started coming out with me and they love it.
Its hard to place a difficulty rating on the trails as they become more difficult the faster you go (check out the insane path jump(instructions to find it below)) and there are some truly awesome trails to explore.
My title for this review says it all really, you need to go out and explore it as there is not really a top-to-bottom route that you can do. If your prepared to pedal, you'll love it!
My recommended cycle route;
From Wadebridge drive to Burlawn, and drive right down to the bottom. Cross the bridge and turn right before the real steep (hustyn hill) hill. At the end of the single track road you will see a metal gate on your right and a fire track to your left. Park here.
Cycle up the hill beyond the metal gate (don't get this bit wrong!). Once the hill levels off you will cycle a bit on the flat and notice an off road trail that bears off to the left. Go right to the top of this, follow it round to the right and take the first right (over a muddy bank but its clear), Then follow the path to the right. It flows along the path you just cycled up. There are jumps and banks and berms on this section (the path jump if your brave). You will find yourself back on the main fire trail so turn left and cycle. Its a bit of a trek for the next stage but its worth it! Pedal past the bridge and turn left. Follow the fire trail until your nearly at the top and you will see a dense thicket of trees to your right. Go down this trail and I hope your wearing a helmet as you get pretty close to the trees. You will get back on gto the fire trail. Turn left and thunder down the trail and pas a wooden post. There is a trail to your right,head down this until you get to a river. Cross the river, bear left and it will take you back to the beginning. Enjoy

muddy!

I stumbled accross these woods whilst staying at a cottage in Hustings Gate with the family. We just hacked through all the bushes and accross fields, down slippery slopes and jumping streams using old crumbling bridges, all in all a brilliant day. Not worth a trip but if your in the area, go and remember why you love mountain biking!
