Fantastic playground!

Have been here three times in the last 4 weeks, it's an hour away but the riding is great, no epic climbs but enough to get you uphill for some great downhills, varying from very technical to lovely sweet sweeps with dropoffs and twisty trails through rhododendrons and Blair Witch type woods! loads of friendly riders to give you directions to the best bits. Found some great twisty, bermy singletrack this time round and a rollercoaster, found the gully jumps last time. The time before that just plain got lost, but lost in a good way... Have a feeling there is lots more to discover!

Took to the trails of Swinley today and can say, wow, very impressive. Apart from the annoyance of not knowing where anything is as not indicated anywhere, it was great to get lost for 3 hrs and explore and be surprised when you came across something pretty sweet.
Think I found Labyrinth, and a few other sweet DH sections. Awesome ride, short but sweet sections. Can never do it in a day, there is masses of it everywhere !!! Although busy, didn't really come across too many riders. Even on way back to car I couldn't resist darting off down another mystery trail !

Went here for the first time on the 03.09.11, and everyone was very friendly. The trails were very varied to suit different styles of riding with fast flowing single tracks, to wide open climbs and downhills. Definately going back!

its a great place to just go explore. but i would highly!! recommend going to the "dug out"/"the gorge"...some great jumps throughout the forest, and some good trails, and dropoffs etc...

After several days of heavy rain the going still wasn't to bad. loads to explore, a lot more than i could do in 1 day. Definatly going back but i think i'll wait for better next time.
