The Fox Antifreeze is a non-competitive, staggered start, chip timed, multi lap, mountain bike endurance challenge on the all weather trails of Coed y Brenin Forest Park. Riders can elect to ride 1, 2 or 3 laps of the 11.5km course with times recorded individually by RFID tags. The staggered start offers a very relaxed event format and helps reduce bottle neck issues, allowing us to include more of the fine singletrack trails that Coed y Brenin is famous for.
Coed y Brenin
The Uk's original trail centre provides the perfect base for the event. It's all weather trails and great tree cover provide protection from the elements while still affording spectacular views of the southern Snowdonian mountains, weather permitting. From rocky track to swooping singletrack, Coed y Brenin offers a fine mix of riding that will challenge and delight. The event is based around the Coed y Brenin Visitor Centre offering all the facilities you might want including a cafe that serves everything from hot drinks and snacks to full meals. There are showers and changing, toilets, bike wash and a well stocked bike shop to cater for all your mountain biking needs.
Chase away the winter chills!
The event has seen all weather from glorious sunshine to snow and at this time of year in Wales, anything is possible but what better way to prove your mettle than to take on the challenge of a fine winter's end trail ride of the highest calibre at the UK's original trail centre.
There will of course be a warm welcome, good company, great atmosphere and fine trails to ride. The event has sold out each year since it's creation and with only 400 places available we expect this year will be no different.
Join us on March 4th for another fine installment of the Fox Antifreeze and kick winter out the door!
