Race for Grassroots - from beginners to experienced riders in the Greater Manchester area - sometimes slightly further afield!
Youths and juveniles have a separate start whistle and race for a shorter period of time as per the guidelines for xc racing, but they are on the same tracks as the main field of riders. Our youth and juvenile category, therefore, need to be experienced, confident riders and racers as they ride in with the main field. If you are unsure of your child’s suitability for this event, please contact the organiser or the midweekMTBmadness facebook page.
Don’t prejudge the pace of these youngsters, they ride fast but their race is shorter (around 40 minutes) – remember that if you are trying to keep up with them!
