London’s famous weekly mountain bike races are back for 2023, with racing for everyone, every Wednesday evening in May and June.
Races are at the purpose-built Redbridge Cycling Circuit, located on Hog Hill in Hainault with wide views to The City and Docklands. The race format sees all categories taking part in a 60-minute cross-country style race on a different and challenging course each week to make a lap of 3 or 4km from our 10km of trail options. Main race start is at 19:30.
Before the evening's main race our u12 riders always get a shorter course which is suitable for a wide range of ages from 7 and up, but which doesn't patronise the fastest. Starts at 18:45
Youth and juveniles normally race in with the seniors, starting around 15-20 minutes later so they get to learn race craft with the best, and it's a slightly longer race than the nationals so fitness builds quickly.
Women are particularly welcome at all our races and we will ask about your gridding preference. (We shouldn't need to say this...)
With nine rounds in the series, it's your best EIGHT scores which count. Our unique and highly prized trophies are always sought after, though none more than those that were made by Turner prize-winning artist Grayson Perry one year.
