The team are back with a four race series for 2013. The format is the same as 2012 with minor tweaks here and there. It’s the usual informal relaxed atmosphere coupled with great courses in a dramatic venue.
Entry on the day, £20/£10 or free if you are on-site at 07:00 to do the course set-up
MEN'S CATEGORIES
Racer: Aged 17+ in 2013 Experienced, fit and skilled riders only, our top category. If you have a BC Racing Licence, you must enter this category.
Weekend Warrior: Aged 17+ in 2013 You can ride a bike well, lots of experience, you probably go downhill faster than up.
Vets (40+) and Grand Vets (50+): Essentially a Weekend Warrior who is old enough to know better (if you are faster than that enter the Racer Category). Main course, start just after the Weekend Warriors and no real concessions to you being old and grumpy ;-). Don’t fancy the main course then enter the more relaxed world of the Have-a-go Hero.
Have-a-go Hero: Aged 17+ in 2013 You have the bike and the enthusiasm, but may lack experience or fitness (the course is shorter and slightly less technical and there are fewer climbs).
Lads: Aged 15 or 16 in 2013 Can ride for an hour and can handle a bike on the quarry trails.
WOMEN'S CATEGORIES
Racing Diva: Aged 17+ in 2013, you can ride a bike well, lots of experience on an MTB.
