thats strange, mine lasted 2yrs too. almost to the day. I also met someone else from this site (recognized his bike from r.m.r section) at cwmcarn and his 2006 stinky snapped in the same place that day too. It was about 2 weeks after i snapped mine. Maybe 2006 was a bad year for buying a stinky...
I bent my QR skewer when mine snapped. +£15 quid to the repair.
luckily the deemax have a fat bolt-up at the rear, i think thats whats still holding it together, lol. You know what dude, it gets stranger, mine was almost 2 years exactly to the day like you. Try and ask that other guy how long his lasted, might help make a case for arguing the point with them.

same as mine. did it bend the axle? and did you do the rocker plates in at the same time?

Luckily the axle didn't bend, no. But the linkage plates gave up after about 3 months, so this bit lasted a tad longer (2 years)
