Lose the dodgy looking brown wall tyres and it surely deserves a better bottle cage as that one looks like it cost £3 from halfords. Otherwise a very nice bike indeed!

Great build and looks as hot as any chilli Salsa should be. You're obviously not afraid of a splash and dash of style and colour, check out my fun bike which I use when I'm not using my xc racer.

Mud guards and gum-wall tyres are not my thing :-) But that Salsa frame looks hot and are the Mavic Crossrides I see? Nice work.
poluvex replied... on 25 February 2008
Yeahh that is my 'everyday-going-around' setup for 80% on-road cycling - thus the tires.

that looks like a bike that could be road ridden 20 miles to the trailhead and still handle some singletrack! rating of 10 assumes your not fibbing about the weight, lol!
poluvex replied... on 21 February 2008
This baby rides itself up and down all day long, and obviously not much point in fibbing about the weight if ur own arse is 170pounds heavy ;]

nice - would be better with out the mud gards though.
do you still use toe straps?
poluvex replied... on 20 February 2008
ie. I use mudguards only when riding in wet and muddy conditions, they're off normally ;]
poluvex replied... on 20 February 2008
LOL - mudguards are cause of the winter weather in Scotland (rain, rain, rain and looooaaads of mud)
As for the toe-straps - better suites my riding style often combined with hiking ;]
