yep..real sweet bike, surprised youve kept the saddle as i found it uncomfortable. ive fitted some black rims an i think it looks loads better now. how much would you rate the maxxis hi roller you fitted? gave it a 10 as it is a nice bike mate but dont like the white saddle tbh out of personal preference but it doesnt deserve a 9 cus of it :).
Bryce replied... on 22 July 2010
i would give the high rollers 10/10 although there thinner i find they roll better and have more grip the main reason for changing them is because the old conti speed kings i had wore down completly, i personally find the saddle comfy essecially for longer rides i used to have a sdg bel air but that became really uncomfy after about 20 miles

I run RS Toras and I'm intrigued by what Darts are like. This looks a good little steed, I would pop some slim jims or DMR pedals in white on. Otherwise avin it!!!

great bike great value----would add white cables as well as white dmr v8's. getting one of these tommorrow and doing that.
those auriga comp breaks really are keen----sold a kraken with them on you could drift round every bend.
halfords make some good stuff just people are really hung up on the idea and i cant see why. a million times better value than getting some 1k,2k,3k bike. ''its not about the bike''

absolutely awesom bike i just got one today for christmas and it is amazing, forks work great and also the brakes are great. Also as for people saying its a halfords bike, halfords only sell them for carrera , they are not made by halfords like the apollos and xrated, they are a good quality bike which top components
leehine replied... on 9 October 2010
No carrera bikes were designed by some one that worked at kona
Bryce replied... on 15 January 2010
Carrera bikes are made in the Kona factory like all halfords bikes but the carrera's are alot better you can see this just by looking at the welds the welds on your carrera will be very neat whereas on a apollo it will look like a monkey had got hold of a welder LOL

hey 'vengeance 111', I think the noise your talking about is the plastic bit behind the cassette. Its a very common noise and it dosn't matter. If you take the cassette of an remove the plasic it should no longer rub and the noise should stop.

Very good looking for a halfords bike,
Only things that let it down for me is the stem and forks.
I got a set of dart forks in my garage that turned rigid :(
Jonofthejungle replied... on 24 October 2009
Was going to put a 9 for this. oh well.
