Sweet ride .... I have just ordered one, picking it up this weekend ... what are they like, people say they are very heavy ?? also, what are the forks like .. are they stiff ??

Willhinde replied... on 6 April 2011

i wouldnt have said they were that heavy, in fact with the upgrades that i have done quite light for how strong it is :) and the forks are pretty stiff yer, nice and pluch aswell

really solid and great to ride, just a bit heavy

Willhinde replied... on 13 February 2010

No they are a bit heavier but for the weight you get a lot more strength if u find the wheels on there are not strong enough!

rockshox123 replied... on 12 February 2010

Ah thankyou soo much
i was wondering what that was for
Are your wheels lighter than the dm24's that came on it because im trying to make mine lighter ?

Willhinde replied... on 11 February 2010

ye, if u take the bit of rubber out of the middle of the metal bit on the left fork leg there is an allen key, tighten it(turn right) to make them harder and loosen it (turn left) to make them softer.

rockshox123 replied... on 11 February 2010

You cant adjust it though can you ?

Willhinde replied... on 10 February 2010

they do have preload

rockshox123 replied... on 10 February 2010

I ment preload sorry ****

Willhinde replied... on 9 February 2010

My 55 RS's have rebound

rockshox123 replied... on 9 February 2010

The fact **

rockshox123 replied... on 9 February 2010

Im trying to reduce the weight on mine but keep it strong and looking good .
One thing im not too keen on is the fast that 55rs's dont have rebound adjust .
Do you think the same?
