Great bike for starting out with, mechanical disks, rather basik but adequate suspension but comes with Road Tyres? so had to upgrade tyres streightaway. Very happy with bike, handles well on rough terain eaven as a hardtail :)
just swapped pedals for Shimano STX 7sp Rapidfire Pods
great for stability and controll over rocky terrain but a bugger to get in and out of when muddied up. You can call me for the mud gaurds but prefare to keep dry in winter:)
