first sabbath on the site? easily a 10 because of the forks, shock and the GEARBOX? how does that ride by the way!?
jez_9540 replied... on 19 April 2010
Cheers for the rate! Yeah, first sabbath as far as I'm aware! When I first put it together it didn't ride too well, but after a service of the forks and a spring change, and finally some tuning it now rides as sweet as anything I've ever ridden! Definitely worth the drain on the old bank account :P

nice, never really seen one of these but i like the idea of the gearbox, is it heavy tho? would look mint with white 40s, still giving it a 10 for rarity at least

cool forks
how much does it weigh
jez_9540 replied... on 31 March 2010
The last time I weighed it it came in around 40(ish)lbs, but since then I have fitted some new stuff which admittedly was a but heavier than what was on it before, so I'd say something around 42 -45lbs. Not the lightest of bikes, but it sure flues down the hills :D

blobby,blobby,blobby said on 31 March 2010
how much did it all cost
jez_9540 replied... on 31 March 2010
Well frame was 500 new (bought from a friend who won it in a competition), forks 370 off ebay, brakes 180 (ebay), wheels 160, bar and stem 60, tyres about 40, I'll soon be getting a hope direct mount stem + crown assembly (135). So in total thats about 1500, not bad for what it is I think :D

sweet bike not normaly a fan of dimondbacks i think they are over priced for what you get but the sabbath is the only one i wouldn't mind + if you have the money get thoughs sweet forks painted white
rate my stinky plz
jez_9540 replied... on 15 March 2010
Well blue or red, I cant really decide :D
jez_9540 replied... on 15 March 2010
Ah yes, this is something that my mates are telling me to do, but I'm just a fan of grey 40's . It makes them really distinctive, and a totally white bike would look a bit odd in my opinion. Needs some other colour (I'm thinking of getting some blue bits to kit it out with once I get some more money!)

lovely bike and great photo, why didn't you get white freedoms, the only thing i would change would be the saddle
jez_9540 replied... on 14 March 2010
Cheers for the rate! I'm not the biggest fan of white rims, and you just cant really go wrong with black (even if it is a bit boring). Yeah saddle isn't exactly ideal, but gets the job done till I get round to buying a new one!

gets a rare 10 from me as it is THE sex
only 2 thigns that i dont like- white (never stays clean) and the forks, im just not a fan of them id rather get more reliable 888 for less but lose some of the quality
as for the bike itself, loving the gearbox on it and the rear shock, brakes are a bit overkill but hey why not, one things i would change would be to get 2.7in tyres for better grip ;)
jez_9540 replied... on 2 March 2010
Cheers for the rate! Yeah, considering a wider tyre, but for now I'm happy with it. As for the forks, I did condsider them, I've lost a bit of confidence in marzocchi since a mate had his new 2010 ones blow within a month of having them (admittedly he has never been the kindest person to bike lol), I would still stand by some slightly older 888s though, they are great forks!

Thats one sweet lookin bike dude! How's the gearbox work?
uttanutta12 replied... on 6 May 2010
when you shift, you move magnets which pull some teeth into place engaging the gear the magnets are placed over, or something similar :P took me a while watching the animation on the g-boxx website to figure it out ;)
jez_9540 replied... on 27 February 2010
Not sure how it works exactly if that's what you meant. But when it comes to shifting, its so smooth, you don't even know you've changed, takes a little getting used to, but will be a big advantage on the trails!

nice bike the gearbox look heavy though the missus doesnt like it she thinks its horrible though
jez_9540 replied... on 27 February 2010
Its not the lightest thing int the world, you're certainly not going to win any XC races on it, but its only just heavier than my old stinky which comes in at 38lbs and the diamondback comes in at 40lbs.

This is my local patch, been building on and off for the last 3 months. Theres not that much in the way of trails (working on it though). But theres a few jumps at this bit, and within a five min ride theres some mini DH trails built by some other people.
To answer your question its in west woods in wiltshire. Where abouts do you live, cos I'm always about and could show you where it all is if you're localish.
