I have the same bike with Customized Wheels (Pink lol) Alloys and 18 gears, It was a good bike, then I got hit by a car, but now I think it is much better for off road as after it broke i done it up, Great bike! Take care of it, P.S: They aint' Custom Forks, they are standerd :)
Its A good learner.. You will soon see what sort of bike you actually need to do the stuff you want to do. I would not bother upgrading this bike as a lot of the parts you will need are different sizes especially the forks.. run this into the ground while you save up over time.. buy a frame.. then as and when you can afford add bits to it.. ebay is a great place for cheap second hand parts to get you started.. ps dont start doing drop offs on this.. the wheels will not take it and you dont wont spokes in your ass if it collapses, Please rate my bikes.. hope you take this constructively
lol. I think knarly bikes get the vote on here. If I were you i'd change the frame, forks, wheels, bars, stems, pedals, crankset, rear shock, grips, bell, gears, saddle and fence. Na bikes like these are good if you only want to do a bit of xc. I started out on bikes like this.

these bikes are awful i work at halfords and we get so many back again and again. TBH i feel sad just selling them to ppl
jam3983 replied... on 22 May 2008
i would however say dont upgrade this use a different frame as the frame would be the biggest problem with it
jam3983 replied... on 22 May 2008
however mate it does depend on what riding you do and if this suits you who am i to tell you about it
