hey man, nice rig - I have the same one but mine has all the standard components - I am looking to get some of those forks - they look sweet man but do they fit directly on or do i need to buy any other components ? thanks barrington (:
nice ! especially the forks !
i have the same, in silver, and i was just wondering wher u got the forks from...was it a mate.
i have seen the same ones , and the cheapest I could find was £349 lol
really ?!?
i got told tht if i went higher, it would snap lol
but if u are sure then i mighnt as well buy forks with that amount of travel =)
thanks again.
yeh, most of the propper forks, with the two things raised from the forks all the way to the handlebar, are bolt through.
but my local bike shop owner, knows steve peat ( lmao ) so he is ringing him up for me to asl for sum recomendations

u wouldnt happen to want to sell em ??
lol, only joking
I am really finding it hard to find ones that are quick-release, cos most of the prooper free rider forks are bolt through. Do u have any recomendation for websites with cheap forks on ?
Nicccceee. i'm bout to do up ma saracen cuz d standerd wheels n forks aren't very gd tbh .im gna get a fsa stem ,marzocchi triples rims n tires. do ya no the meusurements(cant find em anywhere) (like if 2.5's il fit and will does it have a 1.5" steerer) p.s do ya no if ders a way 2 extend the crankarm 2 get more travel outo it??? even if i have 2 get a new rear shock and maybe swing-arm.tah
hi
i am thinking of getting one of these ju8st wondering if it is quite decent bike with all the standard components on. also how much was the shock because i am going to upgrade it as i get better because im only 13. cheers ps the bike looks awsome by the way!!!
well the bike as standerd is ok, the forks r pants thats y i got the triples, but i only spent £90 on them and the shock was £50 and u need 2 change ur stem, apart from that mine is standerd, and wheels need changing, as the ones u get standed always pinch ur inertube and u need 2 change them all the time, i had 2 change them 3 times in 1 day, but ur looking at about £100 EACH! but i spennt about £900 on the hole thing and its better than some of the big name bikes i have riden, norco, orange, santa cruz...... i love it and will never get rid of it, and cheers 4 the rate!
Looks like you have pimped the factory model right up mate! Is there a reason you choose the recoil as your starting point? I have one in my workshop and I'm not overly impressed with it in its standard form. What upgrades have you made and how much did it cost?
well i chose it coz it was cheep and strong, and all i have done 2 it was get some new peds, forx, and a new shox and it is one of the best bikes i have riden, i have been on and had a few big, like my mates orange 223, and it feels hrible compaired 2 myn, and same gos 4 santa cruz, but the only bike i can compair it 2 is the iron horse suday world cup, but with a little less travel on the back, but 2 me it is amazing! and i have spent about 350 4 the frame, 100 on the forx, 50 on the shox 100 on the wheels 20 on the peds 30 on the stem 30 on the bars and 40 o the breaks, so id say about £750 on the hole thing, and i use it every day and it has never gone wrong, apart from a few punchers, and i went 2 my local trak and proper fucked up a norco aline, but my bike never gose rong, so i cant complain!

Nice one mate. I ride a pimped up Saracen myself and I recon the frames solid. They can certainly take a power of abuse.
