well i havent rode anything else so i dont know but i think this is a awsome bike for starting on but its a bit on the heavy side though something like a this or a konastinky i think would be good but you are best asking someone who has rode allot of FR and DH bikes

Nice glory, they ride damn well and the frame can handle anything thats thrown at it. I love mine, with a few upgrades yours will be worth a 10
