i think you should put some dmr moto digger tyres on it and it will look even better :) my opinion though

I prefer slicks because i do Park and Dirt and since i only ride good trails and only when its bone dry i don't struggle with slicks, they roll fast as hell on tarmac ;)

love this bikes but not your stem ^^ and keep your hope because a chris king hub on a bike like this... it's a bit incongruous ...

BIGFLOPPYBEEF94 replied... on 24 September 2010

Cheers, i'm changing my forks to some Pikes and possibly a Hope or a Thompson stem, i ride a lot of park at the moment and plenty of people will want to buy the stem :) I've also just fitted a Hope Tech M4 hydraulic rear disc brake which is super awesome so il be updating this soon and the Chris King is still in my garage, it looked better on my bike than the Hope and technically is a better hub but takes a lot of maintenance :(

Lovely bike mate, was going to get an NS Holy, but couldn't afford it. would personally run a DJ suspension fork, and a rear disc. My friend runs this rear hub and it's fine for discs, as the comment above suggests you're abit worried about that.

very nice ride, good work.

BIGFLOPPYBEEF94 replied... on 24 July 2010

Cheers man, im SO close to getting some top Avids but its just ive had awful experience in the past with disc brakes but they have been like 50 quid ones on stock hubs so im guessing if i get an awesome brake and trust my hub it should be fine but as far as suspension forks go, for me they are too expensive for what they are and once youve ridden rigids for a while they feel amazing, suspension adds weight too :(

seriously sweet bike my bro almost got the holy 1 but instead got we the people trust. ns make much better street and park jumpbikes than most other jump bike companys

BIGFLOPPYBEEF94 replied... on 24 July 2010

NS are unbeatable in my opinion, i convinced my friend to get an NS and he doesn't regret it either. Minus the upgrades this bike is insane, the upgrades aren't necessary but i decided to go ahead and do it anyway and i know it will last :)

Lush bike i really love the Holy's, was thinking of getting the one down in Turqiose these are proper urban jump bikes. Please rate my Marin

BIGFLOPPYBEEF94 replied... on 30 July 2010

Marin are really good, depends whether your sticking to the streets or even dirt or really going off track to trails and hardcore tracks, if your sticking to the street you should look at a Holy and then when you get the chance to upgrade when money comes together then definitely do it

Marin.Bikes replied... on 24 July 2010

yeah i would like to it was that one or the Metropilis 3 only thing is finding the money and its kinda a split decision between upgrading my Marin or buying a NS so havnt decided yet.

BIGFLOPPYBEEF94 replied... on 23 July 2010

Yeah NS bikes in general are insane, get one if your considering a bike for that style of riding, they are well priced and insane even before upgrading :)

it looks really, wow, awesome, but why you use V brakes instead of discs? i prefer suspension forks more, but it looks sweet mate. Love the chrome bits :)

BIGFLOPPYBEEF94 replied... on 23 July 2010

V brakes are ok but i do prefer discs, i shall probably upgrade to some Avid discs but the Hope pro 2 is known for some play and thats going to screw around with the disc alignment but the Odyssey rims are solid and dont seem to buckle so the v brakes are sort of a fit and forget kind of part.

This is my custom NS Holy. It has the standard frame and forks, Hope pro 2 trials hub in chrome, Odyssey Hazard Lite front and rear rims in chrome laced with DT Swiss black spokes. Profile race 3 piece cranks in chrome, Gusset slim jim pedals in black, Tioga power block front and rear tyres with Schwalbe MTB inner tubes. Proper Microlite stem in chrome with Gusset open prison handlebars in black with ODI grips. Federal SL seat in black with white logo, Mankind seat post, Hope seat clamp in chrome, Cane Creek headset in black, profile race front hub in chrome, profile bottom bracket, Avid V brake (rear only), Shimano brake lever, 28T S&M Tuff Man front sprocket in black and a gusset 12T on the rear in silver. It has taken a while to fully build and if any of you are wondering, I use to have a Chris King rear hub and no word of a lie, the Hope is far better and far louder so thats the reason i changed, the Chris King is on sale. Although it has taken a long time to finish it rides beautifully and turns everybody's heads, this will be my pride and joy for years to come.
