Nice little beastie. When cash allows, start looking at your upgrades. Little things like pedals to start with. When you get some bigger bucks, I'd look at upgrading the fork. I've not done much to my ride, but upgrading the forks has changed my whole riding experience.

as it says below, this is already a nice bike, thrash it through trails and when something breaks, replace it with something stronger and lighter. plus get hydraulic brakes theyre awesome

Tidy bike mate, bet it rides fine as it is but tyres would make a big difference, recommend maxxis high rollers, odi lock on grips make a difference too, wide handlebars are a favourite but not to everyones taste. Can confirm that red v8's are very bright

its a kona so its a 10. Im doing up my kona at the moment, for example ive put on fatter tyres, new pedels (oddessy twisted pink) getting new grips, and i would like new forks!

Nice looking bike mate. Definitely pedals first. I had those when I first got my bike and DMR V8s or NC-17 mag platforms will give you 100% better grip and confidence. Stick with black too.

I have a very similar spec bike to yours, and first thing I would be looking to upgrade are the forks, have a look around pinkbike.com and ebay for some 2nd hand, good condition forks Rock Shox Recon or even better some Revelations would be a good idea. It all depends on your budget really

nice ride mate, up for a bit of tweekin, mates got a kona blast that hes put foxes,hayes stroker trails, hope bits, raceface kit and will just swop the kit to his next frame, Dmr do Ox Blood red v8's which look top on his white Marin - just a thought. I'd look at getting sealed bearings where you can hubs,headset,bottom bracket etc a bit of bling as well you can move them to your next ride
